Transforming Furniture like me!

I've been bitten! Keep your furniture away from me, because I just might paint it. I learned how to make  the famous "chalk" paint, but I'll just call it crack paint, because it's so easy it's addicting.  Below is a pic of one of my most recent victims...ugly cherry wood executive desk transformed into trendy peacock blue night table. A day late on Thousand Words Thursday, unexpected delays yesterday...

For my Friend Makin Monday assignment I have to choose which movie I would like to be my life.  The answer was so easy for me, that I had to try to think of other movies that I could possibly want my life to be but couldn't.   I know that The Notebook was a tearjerker, but for all the right reasons, right?  How much better could your life end, in the arms of the one and only love of your life. Love that was soooo passionate. Not to mention Noah is everything a girl would want in  a man! The time period is my favorite as well.

What Makes Me Happy?

New to  Friend Makin Mondays , so I thought I would start with something easy, Things that make me Happy!

1. First and foremost I am sooo happy that I am able to pray and have the security of Jesus Christ. Personal experiences have brought me down the path of uncertainty allowing me to realize how real and powerful prayer is. Prayer opens me up to my Jesus with no other personas in the way.  It is utterly personal and cleansing.

2. My family makes me happy!  Just the idea that I have one and they love me like crazy, makes me happy.  I got married at a later age than most and really wasn't too keen on the idea of marriage.  But, this one crazy guy was a keeper! I love him with everything that I am, and I have two beautiful children and one angel waiting on me because of him.  Everything I wanted as a child, I have right now!

3. Hazelnut coffee!!! Love, love, love it! Grew up drinking coffee, guess it's a Latin thing.  My Grandma Ceja is the one responsible for starting this addiction.  Now my own kids drink coffee, but decaf.  My hubby makes it for me every morning.  I occasionally splurge on a Joe's Original Frappe with whipped cream, ooh, yummmmm!

4. Backrubs!  I have always loved these and probably will till the day I die! So as I am typing this I remember my husband telling me (at the beginning of our relationship) that he loved to give back rubs, ok, so that did it!

5. Reading is something that I do not get much time for anymore.  I am taking two graduate courses that requires all of my reading time, so maybe I'll get back to avid reading sessions next May...

6. Blue jeans.  So easy, so simple, yet so sexy. 

7. Working Out makes me happy because endorphins (which are "happy" chemicals are released.  Also, I have more energy to accomplish the tasks that I need to get done.  And of course the result of working out is looking good, especially in those jeans above.

8. The Beach.  This really needs no more explanation...

9. Music and dancing.  Music can inspire me as well as alter my mood.  So, I have to be really careful what I listen to because of its effect on me.  Dancing is inspired by certain types of music, especially Urbano, Latin and some hip hop.

10. Febreze Plug Ins/ Yankee Candles.  It feels so good to walk in my house and smell febreze scents or yankee candles.
